Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland (2010) Movie Review

This movie is about 19-year-old Alice returning to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

I thought this movie was pretty decent. Though, it wasn't as good as the original animated film but it was good enough to watch.

There were a couple good things about this movie, which were... there wasn't any singing, for one. I'm so happy I didn't have to hear Johnny Depp sing but he did, however, dance in it. Another good thing was the story because you are unsure if she's the real Alice or not, until 75% of the way through the movie. The effects Tim Burton has in this movie were great. Honestly, I don't think it could have been any better. I enjoyed how they did the make-up for the characters, as well. I would list a couple more things that I thought were good but I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone.

As for the acting, I thought all the characters played their roles very well. I didn't notice any errors but there were a few actors I didn't like, which were the ones at the beginning. As for Johnny Depp, who plays the Mad Hatter, I thought he fit the part and did the role very well. Mia Wasikowska, which played Alice, did a good job on her role as well. I just never thought Alice came from London, because in the original, I don't recall an accent. Anne Hathaway had a pretty cool role. I thought she played her role as the White Queen good, as well. She did have a few funny scenes but not much. The only thing I didn't like about her was the way she held her hands.

There really wasn't any bad scenes, in this movie, that I could recall. Though, I really wished they made the ending a lot better. It's probably the only thing I didn't like about this movie. Also, the beginning was sort of boring and could have went quicker. Everything else was fine, in my opinion. The only thing I really wished they would make is a scary version of Alice in Wonderland. Something that makes the characters a lot more creepier looking. It doesn't have to involve killing anyone but just a creepier feel to it.

If you haven't seen this movie, it's worth watching. Especially, if you enjoyed the original Alice in Wonderland. Just don't expect it to be as great, though.
