Childhood-Obesity-Prevention - Have You Heard About the Yes, But, Factor?

Dealing with children on a busy schedule? You have no time for yourself? Trying to put everything together from a money situation is draining a lot of energy? Your children don't listen? They eat anything they want? Do they watch to much TV? Is their too much loud music in the house, most of the time?

Childhood obesity prevention-Have you heard about the "Yes, But, Factor"?

The "Yes, But, Factor" is the time when you hear but you do not listen. Children need your attention big time. Are you listening to them or just going through the motions? If you are like most parents today, you are just going through the motions.I am truly sorry to be repetitive but, even now you are only reading and understanding what you have the time for. You are reading yes, but are you really reading and understanding what I am trying to tell you? That is the "yes, but, factor".

Your children did not become obese on their own. You enabled them to become obese because you do not listen to their cries for attention. You soothe their problems by saying "yes, but" I will get to you latter. Stop your busy movements for a little while and think of what I am saying to you, your children are obese and you weren't there?

You need to:

Stop and take inventory of their needs.
Listen to what they are crying about.
Take positive action to get the help you need.
Accept the responsibility that comes with parenting.
Listen to yourself, your heart is pounding, right now.

Please, no more "yes, but". Leave the worry you have right now exactly where it is because you know it is not going to go away. What is more important to you today, your job, your car payments, all the commitments you have or your children?

And please, no "yes, but" this morning.

Food for thought.
