Generally, people who are overweight tend to suffer not only physically but psychologically as well. In children who are obese, they are the ones who get picked on, taunted and teased until they become introverts and find it difficult to form interpersonal relationships. What is obesity? It is a physical condition whereby the individual has excessive amounts of fats accumulated in their bodies until it has a negative influence on their lives.
Therefore, obesity can be divided into four main stages. The first stage would be when the individual's weight is 15-30% more than the ideal weight and the second stage is the progress stage where the weight of the individual is 30%-50% more than the desired. At these two stages, people don't usually feel the discomfort and do not seem to be concern about their health.
During this particular phase, people take their overweight as a cosmetic defect and suffer more mentally than physically. In fact, it is the time where they should start making lifestyle changes in terms of diet and exercise in order to prevent diseases like diabetes, heart problems and worst case - organ failures.
Next, the third stage of obesity is when the individual's weight increases to 50%-100% more than what is preferred. In this stage, this particular individual would suffer from excessive pressure in their spine, bones and junctions, and would start experiencing problems when moving and walking. Sometimes, you would also experience chronic or periodic pains that may limit mobility.
The most worrying stage would be when the weight doubles or is more than that of the ideal weight. When this happens, you would have all of the above symptoms accompanies by weakness, depression, constant drowsiness, loss of strength, nervousness, irritability, lasting hunger and thrust, shortness of breath, lasting pain in joints and so on. In conclusion, watch your weight and start making changes now before it gets too late.
